This is a fundamental course for students with prior knowledge of C/C++/Java/ Python and Data Structures. This course provides core concepts of computer science and engineering, the philosophy behind the theory, and real-world applications of algorithms. During the course students will learn the design of advanced data structures, techniques for designing and analyzing algorithm efficiency, and methods of developing efficient algorithms for complex computational challenges. The main purpose of this course is to show key algorithms which are essential for solving computer-oriented problems, and techniques for creation and optimization of other efficient algorithms. Problems discussed during the semester include sorting, searching, advanced data structures, divide-and- conquer method, dynamic programming, greedy methods, graph algorithms, maximum flow problem, online algorithms, linear programming, approximation algorithms, machine learning algorithms and cutting-edge deep learning techniques. Lectures will be pre-recorded and uploaded, and Q&A sessions will be held offline to support in-depth clarification. This course serves as solid preparation for coding tests and improving algorithmic problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to complement it with platforms such as LeetCode and Codeforces for more effective practice.
